Four Bands Community Fund - Visit the Reservation

Four Bands has joined with partners from the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations in NATIVE DISCOVERY, a project to promote culturally based tourism. To support this project, we've created a new website: www.nativediscovery.org. We invite you to take a look and discover why we're excited.

One of our activities is group tours to partner reservations. Native Discovery partners have two types of tour options: 1.) Lakota History Tours and 2.) Self-Directed Tours. Lakota History Tours are targeted at individual travelers who want an in-depth educational experience. These are pre-packaged tours. Self-Directed Tours are targeted at tour companies that want to organize their own trips to a Native Discovery community. Tour companies must contract directly with local businesses, artists, or cultural performers who offer activities and services as part of a company's tour package.

Marketing specialists will be working with a selected number of local artists and cultural performers to create a website page for the partner website. Those selected will also get assistance in creating a rack card to use in promoting their own work to the public and to tourism companies who will visit the NATIVE DISCOVERY site.
