Alissa Benoist, Four Bands’ Program Coordinator, will be discussing the topic of financial sovereignty as part of Black Hills State University’s Center for American Indian Studies Speaker Series. Alissa has nearly 20 years of experience in implementing programs with a leadership development and asset-building focus for Native youth.

BHSU’s Center for American Indian Studies provides academic, cultural and social support to Native American students at Black Hills State University. The Center also administers the academic major and minor in American Indian Studies. Through various events, the group promotes awareness of American Indian cultures, value systems, and social problems among both Native and non-Native people.
