This tax season, we helped our community members save $144,000 in commercial tax preparation fees!

Every year Four Bands operates a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site where we help people file their income tax returns free of charge. An important part of this work is making sure they claim all of the tax credits they can, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). This year, the EITC added an average of $2,373 to each refund we processed. Thirteen staff and volunteers worked through this year’s extended tax season to help our local families.
720 income tax returns prepared and e-filed at our VITA site.
$2,109,914 in tax refunds delivered to our community members.
$743,002 in Earned Income Tax Credits claimed.
