Supporting Ag Producers, Small Business Owners, and Families
July 15, 2021
As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Four Bands pivoted our operations to focus on recovery and resiliency. Many of the ag producers, small business owners, and families we work with struggled through the economic shutdown. But, they all made it through! We leveraged partnerships with a number of organizations to channel relief funds into our community, and assisted hundreds of our community members as they applied to federal relief programs, including Economic Injury Disaster Loans, the Paycheck Protection Program, and the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. Many nonprofits, foundations, and private sector companies provided immediate support. A big thank you to Family Independence Initiative, First Interstate Bank, First Peoples Fund, Native American Agriculture Fund, Northwest Area Foundation, Oklahoma Native Assets Coalition, and the South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition!
Overall, we assisted 253 clients with a total of $1.7M in relief funds.
