Our Executive Director, Lakota Vogel, testified on January 5, 2022 before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development. Lakota was one of three witnesses to testify in the hearing titled, “Exploring How Community Development Financial Institutions Support Underserved Communities.”
The hearing followed the introduction of a new bill to help expand the capacity of community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and Lakota shared her insights and provided some powerful recommendations to the Subcommittee. Other witnesses included John Holdsclaw IV of the CDFI Coalition and Frank Altman of Community Reinvestment Fund.
