In his position as Regional Revolving Loan Fund Manager, Tommy Robinson’s (Northern Cheyenne) primary responsibility is to provide the flexible, affordable financing solutions required to transform ideas, market-driven research, and informal operations into small business firms that create real economic value within Native American communities. The Regional Revolving Loan Fund Manager position was born out of the Economic Development Administration’s Build Back Better award to the Mountain | Plains Native CDFI Coalition, an alliance of nine Native CDFIs focused on expanding economic opportunity in Native American communities in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Tommy has been instrumental in working with Coalition members to establish foundational protocols that will ensure the regional revolving loan fund’s successful launch and long-term viability and is excited to be working in an innovative program that will create access to capital with Native communities.

Tommy stepped into the role of Regional Revolving Loan Fund Manager with over a decade of experience in the Native CDFI field. He has built a broad spectrum of skills in various positions, including financial literacy training, Individual Development Account (IDA) program management, payroll, human resources, loan administration, loan underwriting, and loan program management. He graduated from Chief Dull Knife College with an associate’s degree in applied science and has completed coursework towards a social work degree at Oral Roberts University. Tommy is a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and works remotely from his office just outside of Lame Deer, Montana.
